⭻Praise Song Your Grace Is Enough W&S 3106
Great is Your faithfulness O God
You wrestle with the sinner's restless heart
You lead us by still waters into mercy
And nothing can keep us apart
(So) remember Your people
Remember Your children
Remember Your promise O God
Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough for me
Great is Your love and justice God of Jacob
You use the weak to lead the strong
You lead us in the song of Your salvation
And all Your people sing along
Yeah Your grace is enough
Heaven reaches out to us
Your grace is enough for me
God I sing Your grace is enough
I'm covered in Your love
Your grace is enough for me for me
Jesus is arrested and crucified
Judas went to the leaders. He asked, “How much will you pay me if I help you capture Jesus?” They said, “Thiry pieces of silver.” So Judas took the money and made a plan. Jesus had gone to his favorite garden to pray. The disciples went along. Jesus prayed, “Father, if it is your will, I am ready to give my life so that all the people who trust in me will be saved from their sins.” Soon, Judas arrived with some soldiers. Peter wanted to protect Jesus. But Jesus said, “No. I must allow this to happen.” all the disciples ran away, and the soldiers arrested Jesus. They took Jesus to the leaders. The leaders said, “You say that you are the Son of God. we do not believe you.” The soldiers took charge of Jesus. They made him carry a big wooden cross. They took him to a place called the Skull (Golgotha). There they nailed Jesus to the cross. Jesus died on the cross. Everyone who loved Jesus was very sad. But they forgot something important. Jesus had said he would see them again soon!

Hymn of Prayer Precious Lord, Take My Hand UMH 474
Precious Lord, take my hand, lead me on, let me stand,
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn;
through the storm, through the night, lead me on to the light:
take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.
When my way grows drear, precious Lord, linger near,
when my life is almost gone,
hear my cry, hear my call, hold my hand lest I fall:
take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.
When the darkness appears and the night draws near,
and the day is past and gone,
at the river I stand, guide my feet, hold my hand:
take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.
Pausing for Silent Prayer and Confession
Prayers of the People (Response: God, in Your Mercy hear our prayers.)
God of grace and God of compassion, we come to you with our burdens. We have too many things in our plate that we cannot handle. We are in sorrow, depression, loneness, and hopelessness. We don’t know how we handle all so we come to you. We lift up to you ourselves, our family and friends, and concerns and worries. Have mercy on us and save us. Strengthen us. Help us. Support us. And lead us to help others. Help us to reach out to others, not with thought of importance or gain, but in love and compassion; truly caring for each one we meet. When we have done this, we will have truly give our hearts and our service to our Lord. AMEN.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Called to the Word
Prayer for Illumination
Leader: Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that, as the Scriptures are read and your Word proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today.
OT Lesson Micah 6:6-8
What God Requires
6 “With what shall I come before the Lord,
and bow myself before God on high?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
with calves a year old?
7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,
with ten thousands of rivers of oil?
Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression,
the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”
8 He has told you, O mortal, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
This ends the OT Lesson.
Let us turn to the Gospel Lesson. Please stand, if able.
Gospel Lesson Matthew 4:18-22
Jesus Calls the First Disciples
18 As he walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea—for they were fishermen. 19 And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.” 20 Immediately they left their nets and followed him. 21 As he went from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John, in the boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets, and he called them. 22 Immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed him.
Leader: This is the word of God for the people of God.
All: Thanks be to God.
Message The Walk – Walking with God Rev. Jin Kook Kim
Good morning, Church Family! I hope you had a blessed week last week. Last Sunday, we learned that we are called to use good words to others because our words are powerful enough to save others, strengthen others, and encourage others. I hope all of us use good words in our lives to follow God's call.
A few weeks ago, I made a video and posted it on the church's Facebook and YouTube. Can we watch it together? As you saw the title and heard the message, the theme of the video is "We want to walk with you." The purpose of the video is to invite people to our church and to God's love and grace ultimately. I chose the sentence, "We want to walk with you," because our faith life is a journey. We are inviting them not only for an hour for an event but for a life-long time being with us.
Life is a journey. And our faith life is a journey. Some people would think that faith is a one-time event because Jesus Christ already saved them. That's not true. Jesus was not the one who saved us on the cross and left us, saying goodbye to us. Jesus is not like a stranger who helps us and leaves us to go his way. Our faith journey is not completed when we believe that Jesus died for us. That is the beginning point of our faith journey with Jesus, and our faith journey will continue with Jesus.
God did not leave us after God created us in God's image. God has been with us from the beginning and will be with us forever. We are not alone in our lives. God is with us all the time and walks with us always because God loves us so much. Don't let God be alone or feel alone. Some people think that they are ok because they are baptized or confirmed, so they do not try to walk with God for the rest of their life. Some people come to God only when they are in trouble or when they need God. The people come to God when they face what they cannot handle or when they don't find any hope near them.
When the pandemic started last year, many churches began online service, and people joined the online worship. The people who joined the online worship were not only the church members and friends who had been in worship regularly but also the members of the church who didn't come to the church for many years or new people. The new attendants joined the worship one Sunday, two Sundays, four Sundays, and more. However, as time went by, they, one by one, began not to join. And 3 months later, 6 months later, or 1 year later, most of the new attendants disappeared. This was the common situation for most churches. The new attendants joined the online worship because they felt fear or couldn't go any places due to the lockdown order. However, they stopped coming to church when they felt ok in the pandemic, or they could go wherever they go wearing a mask.
They want to come to God whenever they want, but they don't want to walk with God if they get what they need. I don't mean that you should not come to God when you need God because you come to God only when you need. Rather, come to God anytime. Come to God, although you seek God when you need God because God loves you, and God welcomes you all the time. However, by doing that, they are missing the great blessing from God. The best blessing of God is walking with God. Being with God is the best blessing for us because we can share everything in our lives with God. And God gives us what we need from time to time.
God loves us, so God never leaves us, although we don't care or ignore God's presence. If we don't walk with God, it is like we are with God in space but don't interact with God. As strangers are in a dealership's waiting room, we can be in our lives losing the best blessing and opportunity to have a deeper relationship with God. When we share our lives, joys, and concerns or just mere routine with God, God gives us all blessings that God wants to give us through our deeper relationship with God. It is peace, hope, love, grace, compassion, comfort, and justice. What does God want from us? Prophet Micah said that what God wants from us is to walk humbly with God. "God walks in our midst, searches for us, and beckons us to walk with God." God loves us, so God wants to walk with us. God is ready to walk with us and offer us that.
Jesus called his first twelve disciples. He came to a couple of them and said, "Come, follow me." And he went to others and said, "Come, follow me." As Rev. Hamilton wrote in the book, "to follow in Greek is akoloutheo, which means to accompany on a journey or to walk with someone down a road. When Jesus called them, he invited his disciples to walk with him; he asked them to be companions of him; he called them to work with him. Jesus said to us, "Come, follow me." And the meaning of his words is the same. Jesus invites us to walk with him; he asks us to be companions of him; he calls us to work with him. We answered, "Yes," so we are here. Then, let us walk with him. That is a great blessing for us.
Church family, do you want to walk with God? Do you want to walk with God in your life journey? I pray that we walk with God all the time. Let's walk with God. Our life, our faith life, the Christian spiritual life is a life of walking with Christ in our everyday life. It is a blessing for us to walk with God, who is the creator of the universe, the ruler of the world, the one who loves us so much, and cares for us, and helps us all the time. By walking with God, our life is enriched and fruitful. Let's take the privilege by taking God's offer. Let's enjoy God's blessing in our lives.
Also, I hope we go further. Let us serve others to walk with God. Let us share with others the joy of walking with God. We can help our family and friends to take the same privilege that God offers. By helping them to walk with God, we can carry out our mission, to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, and they will receive God's best blessing, and their lives will be enriched and fruitful in Jesus Christ. I made the video as you watched to invite people to faith in God to walk with God. I also try to invite my neighbors and those I meet during weekdays to Sunday worship, kids' programs, or other events. Would you invite your family, friends, and neighbors to our church? Doers, let's give God's blessings to our loving ones by inviting them to walk with God. Amen.

⭻Doxology Praise God, From Whom All Blessings Flow UMH 95
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!
⭻Prayer of Dedication
All: Gracious God, grant us the grace to be extravagant in the gifts we give to you. Help us be wise and just in how we live with the resources we keep. Guide us in the way to lives that bear the fruit that is pleasing to you: lives full of mercy and compassion. Free us from envy and selfish ambition that leads us away from you, that we might draw near to you. We pray in the love and hope that is Jesus, our Savior. Amen.

⭻Closing Hymn He Lives UMH 310
I serve a risen savior, he's in the world today;
I know that he is living, whatever foes may say.
I see his hand of mercy, I hear his voice of cheer,
And just the time I need him, he's always near.
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know he lives? He lives within my heart.
In all the world around me I see his loving care,
and though my heart grows weary, I never will despair.
I know that he is leading through all the stormy blast;
the day of his appearing will come at last.
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing
eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King!
The hope of all who seek him, the help of all who find;
none other is so loving, so good and kind.
⭻Benediction Rev. Jin Kook Kim
