Our Ministries

Our ministries are an important and integral part of our church community. Whether you are a student, single or married there is a ministry designed for you. Please read about our ministries and consider becoming an active member of our community of faith.
Live B.I.G.!

"Live B.I.G"! (Live Belief in God!) is the name of our Sunday School program which meets every Sunday at 10:00 am to 11:15 am. Live B.I.G. is based on best practices that seek to make the stories of our faith a living reality for our children. There are classes for children from pre-school to 6th grade. Confirmation class is held for 7th and 8th graders. A senior high class is also held. Youths in 7th - 12th grade also participate very actively in Sunday worship service.

Prayer Circle

Every Friday, 10am we gather to pray together - for each other, for prayer requests made by others, for our world and our leaders, and for our church. Everyone can and must pray. Come and pray with us.

Voice Choir

Thursdays, 7pm. (Currently on Summer Break - Will resume September 9th, 7:30pm.) Music opens the window of our soul so that God's light can heal the wounds within. The Choir leads the gathered Christians in singing, and offer special songs to draw us closer to God's heart. The Choir is open to all who love God and who love to sing! The Voice Choir meets every Thursday at 7:30 - 9:00 PM.

Handbell Choir

Wednesdays, 6:15pm. (Currently on summer break - will resume September 8th, 6:15pm.) Open to all beginners. Join our happy ringers and raise joyful music to God. We play in Sunday worship as often as we are able.

Praise Singers

Want to sing easier and contemporary songs, just once every month in worship? Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM for half an hour.

UMW General Meeting

All women of the church are invited to our monthly meetings which have special themes, speakers or events. It is a chance for us to affirm our faith, nurture spiritual friendship, and engage with critical issues of our world and times.

Circle of Friends

Our young-at-heart seniors meet monthly for food, friendship and faith. Open to all members and their friends. Mettings take place monthly from September 2010-June 2011.

Becoming A Healthy Church

This year, under the leadership of our Church Health Team and our church coach, we are engaged in Natural Church Development to help our faith community become spiritually passionate - to grow in our love of God - so that we may fulfill our mission to be a welcoming community of disciples of Jesus the Christ, living out our Methodist motto with a passion: do no harm, do good, and stay in love with God!

Celebrating the Past, Shaping the Future

Fourty years ago in July 1968, ground was broken for our current church building. As we entered 2009, it was a year of celebration which climaxed with a festive banquet in November. We want to become a house of prayer for all people - to bring people to faith in God so that together we will live our belief in God.

Stamp Out Hunger With CUMAC

CUMAC in Paterson is the largest food distribution program in Passaic County, serving over 2000 persons monthly, running a thrift shop, a job training program and maintaining a warehouse for other food pantries in northern New Jersey. Our church participates in their anti-hunger program throughout the year. You can always bring non-perishable food, clothing, household electronics, shoes and other goods to church - which is taken down to CUMAC every single week. A special offering is taken the first Sunday of every month for CUMAC's ministry.
